Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
The forest trees are appointed singers, and their concert begins just as the LORD comes to judge the earth—a wonderfully inconvenient moment for anyone expecting the woods to keep quiet.
A summons to every nationvv. 1–10
The song opens by calling all the earth to sing a new song, bless the LORD’s name, and proclaim His salvation day after day. Its announcement travels outward among the nations and all peoples: the LORD is great, His wonders are to be declared, and His glory outranks every god, since “all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is the LORD who made the heavens.” Families of the nations are summoned to bring glory and strength, bring an offering, enter His courts, and tremble before Him. The great declaration is plain enough to carry across the world: “The LORD reigns!” The world stands firm, and the LORD will judge the peoples with equity.
The world joins the songvv. 11–13
Then the summons leaves the human assembly and gathers the rest of creation. The heavens are to be glad, the earth to rejoice, the sea to resound with all that fills it, and the fields to exult with all that is in them. Even the trees of the forest are given a song of joy, because the LORD is coming—twice announced, as though the forest might otherwise miss the appointment—to judge the earth in righteousness and the peoples in His faithfulness.
