What happens here
Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
David hands Solomon a temple plan down to the weight of a fork, then says the LORD made every detail clear in writing by His hand upon him. The chapter does not say what that writing was, which leaves the most elaborate document in the room with a wonderfully mysterious margin.
A house David may not buildvv. 1–10
David summons Israel’s leaders to Jerusalem—tribal chiefs, military commanders, officials over royal property and cattle, court officials, and mighty men—and rises to address them. He had wanted to build a resting place for the ark and a footstool for God, but God refused him the work because he was a man of war who had shed blood. David recounts the choosing: Judah, his father’s house, himself, and then Solomon, one son among many, appointed to build the house and courts. The speech narrows from the whole assembly to Solomon, who is told to know God, serve wholeheartedly, and be strong and do it; the LORD, David says, searches hearts, which is a fairly thorough inspection.
The plan, item by itemvv. 11–21
Then David gives Solomon the plans: portico, buildings, storehouses, upper and inner rooms, the room for the mercy seat, courts, surrounding rooms, treasuries, priestly and Levitical divisions, and every article of service. The inventory proceeds by weight—gold and silver lampstands, tables, forks, bowls, pitchers, dishes, the altar of incense—and ends with the gold cherubim spreading their wings over the ark. David says that the LORD made all these details clear to him in writing by His hand; the chapter gives no further account of the writing. Solomon receives both the plan and the charge to finish it, with priests, Levites, skilled workers, officials, and all the people at his command.

1 Chr 28:1Now David summoned all the leaders of Israel to Jerusalem: the leaders of the tribes, the leaders of the divisions in the king’s service, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and the officials in charge of all the property and cattle of the king and his sons, along with the court officials and mighty men—every mighty man of valor.
1 Chr 28:2Then King David rose to his feet and said, “Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the covenant of the LORD and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build it,
1 Chr 28:3but God said to me, ‘You are not to build a house for My Name, because you are a man of war who has shed blood.’
1 Chr 28:4Yet the LORD, the God of Israel, chose me out of all my father’s house to be king over Israel forever. For He chose Judah as leader, and from the house of Judah He chose my father’s household, and from my father’s sons He was pleased to make me king over all Israel.
1 Chr 28:5And of all my sons—for the LORD has given me many sons—He has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.
1 Chr 28:6And He said to me, ‘Solomon your son is the one who will build My house and My courts, for I have chosen him as My son, and I will be his Father.
1 Chr 28:7I will establish his kingdom forever, if he resolutely carries out My commandments and ordinances, as is being done this day.’
1 Chr 28:8So now in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God, keep and seek out all the commandments of the LORD your God, so that you may possess this good land and leave it as an inheritance to your descendants forever.
1 Chr 28:9As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands the intent of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.
1 Chr 28:10Consider now that the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong and do it.”
1 Chr 28:11Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the portico of the temple, its buildings, storehouses, upper rooms, inner rooms, and the room for the mercy seat.
1 Chr 28:12The plans contained everything David had in mind for the courts of the house of the LORD, for all the surrounding rooms, for the treasuries of the house of God and of the dedicated things,
1 Chr 28:13for the divisions of the priests and Levites, for all the work of service in the house of the LORD, and for all the articles of service in the house of the LORD:
1 Chr 28:14the weight of all the gold articles for every kind of service; the weight of all the silver articles for every kind of service;
1 Chr 28:15the weight of the gold lampstands and their lamps, including the weight of each lampstand and its lamps; the weight of each silver lampstand and its lamps, according to the use of each lampstand;
1 Chr 28:16the weight of gold for each table of showbread, and of silver for the silver tables;
1 Chr 28:17the weight of the pure gold for the forks, sprinkling bowls, and pitchers; the weight of each gold dish; the weight of each silver bowl;
1 Chr 28:18the weight of the refined gold for the altar of incense; and the plans for the chariot of the gold cherubim that spread their wings and overshadowed the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
1 Chr 28:19“All this,” said David, “all the details of this plan, the LORD has made clear to me in writing by His hand upon me.”
1 Chr 28:20David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do it. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will neither fail you nor forsake you before all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.
1 Chr 28:21The divisions of the priests and Levites are ready for all the service of the house of God, and every willing man of every skill will be at your disposal for the work. The officials and all the people are fully at your command.”

Who else the chapter reaches
Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.
Named in the Hebrew or Greek somewhere in this chapter, under a form the English renders differently — the registry's Ludim against the translation's Ludites — so there is no word in the sentence to hang the link on.
Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
