The chapter
What happens here
Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
The thirsty are told to buy wine and milk without money, which is a splendidly impractical shop until the shopkeeper explains that the real fare is listening.
The free market of mercyvv. 1–5
The invitation arrives in the language of commerce, but money is dismissed at the door. Thirsty people, penniless people, and hungry souls are summoned to waters, wine, milk, and what is good. The bargain turns out to be an everlasting covenant, the loving devotion promised to David, whom the LORD has made a witness, leader, and commander. Nations unknown to the summoned people will run to them, a remarkably energetic response to a glory bestowed from above.
Rain, words, and applauding treesvv. 6–13
The wicked man and the unrighteous man are told to leave their ways and thoughts and return to the LORD, who freely pardons. The LORD's thoughts and ways stand higher than human ones, and the comparison is made with rain and snow: water the earth, and the earth gets on with budding, sprouting, sowing, and feeding. So the word from the LORD's mouth will not come back empty either. At the end, the departing people are led with joy and peace while the scenery becomes an exuberant congregation: mountains and hills sing, trees clap, thorns give way to cypress, and briers to myrtle. Even the landscape is recruited for the LORD's everlasting sign.

Isa 55:1“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you without money, come, buy, and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost!
Isa 55:2Why spend money on that which is not bread, and your labor on that which does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of foods.
Isa 55:3Incline your ear and come to Me; listen, so that your soul may live. I will make with you an everlasting covenant—My loving devotion promised to David.
Isa 55:4Behold, I have made him a witness to the nations, a leader and commander of the peoples.
Isa 55:5Surely you will summon a nation you do not know, and nations who do not know you will run to you. For the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, has bestowed glory on you.”
Isa 55:6Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.
Isa 55:7Let the wicked man forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that He may have compassion, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.
Isa 55:8“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD.
Isa 55:9“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.
Isa 55:10For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return without watering the earth, making it bud and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat,
Isa 55:11so My word that proceeds from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper where I send it.
Isa 55:12You will indeed go out with joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
Isa 55:13Instead of the thornbush, the cypress will grow, and instead of the brier, the myrtle will spring up; this will make a name for the LORD, an everlasting sign, never to be destroyed.”

Who else the chapter reaches
Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.
Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
