What happens here
Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
Cyrus is the LORD’s anointed—and he does not know the LORD.
The anointed strangervv. 1–13
The chapter opens with the LORD taking Cyrus by the hand and sending him through nations, kings, bronze gates, iron bars, and hidden treasure. Cyrus is called by name and given a title of honor for the sake of Jacob and Israel, though he has not known the LORD; the repetition is almost comically deliberate, as if Cyrus’s ignorance were the one fact that must not get lost in the royal procession. Then comes the clay pot, which does not merely ask its maker what is being made but accuses the potter of having no hands. The LORD answers the quarrel by naming Cyrus again: he will rebuild the city and set the exiles free, without payment or reward.
The hidden God speaks openlyvv. 14–19
Egypt, Cush, and the Sabeans arrive in chains and bow down, confessing that there is no other God. Yet immediately after this public spectacle, the voice calls the LORD a God who hides Himself. The apparent contradiction is left standing: hidden, but not secret; beyond sight, but speaking truth. Israel is set against the makers of idols, and the earth itself is summoned as the place where salvation and righteousness will spring up.
Every knee, every tonguevv. 20–25
The fugitives from the nations are called to gather, while the wooden idols are exposed as particularly poor rescuers: they cannot save, however earnestly they are carried and prayed to. The LORD challenges every rival account of what was foretold and declares Himself the only righteous God and Savior. The final scene widens to the ends of the earth: every knee bows, every tongue swears allegiance, and the descendants of Israel exult in the LORD.

Isa 45:1This is what the LORD says to Cyrus His anointed, whose right hand I have grasped to subdue nations before him, to disarm kings, to open the doors before him, so that the gates will not be shut:
Isa 45:2“I will go before you and level the mountains; I will break down the gates of bronze and cut through the bars of iron.
Isa 45:3I will give you the treasures of darkness and the riches hidden in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by name.
Isa 45:4For the sake of Jacob My servant and Israel My chosen one, I call you by name; I have given you a title of honor, though you have not known Me.
Isa 45:5I am the LORD, and there is no other; there is no God but Me. I will equip you for battle, though you have not known Me,
Isa 45:6so that all may know, from where the sun rises to where it sets, that there is none but Me; I am the LORD, and there is no other.
Isa 45:7I form the light and create the darkness; I bring prosperity and create calamity. I, the LORD, do all these things.
Isa 45:8Drip down, O heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness. Let the earth open up that salvation may sprout and righteousness spring up with it; I, the LORD, have created it.
Isa 45:9Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker—one clay pot among many. Does the clay ask the potter, ‘What are you making?’ Does your work say, ‘He has no hands’?
Isa 45:10Woe to him who says to his father, ‘What have you begotten?’ or to his mother, ‘What have you brought forth?’”
Isa 45:11Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: “Concerning things to come, do you question Me about My sons, or instruct Me in the work of My hands?
Isa 45:12It is I who made the earth and created man upon it. It was My hands that stretched out the heavens, and I ordained all their host.
Isa 45:13I will raise up Cyrus in righteousness, and I will make all his ways straight. He will rebuild My city and set My exiles free, but not for payment or reward, says the LORD of Hosts.”
Isa 45:14This is what the LORD says: “The products of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush, along with the Sabeans, men of stature, will come over to you and will be yours; they will trudge behind you; they will come over in chains and bow down to you. They will confess to you: ‘God is indeed with you, and there is no other; there is no other God.’”
Isa 45:15Truly You are a God who hides Himself, O God of Israel, the Savior.
Isa 45:16They will all be put to shame and humiliated; the makers of idols will depart together in disgrace.
Isa 45:17But Israel will be saved by the LORD with an everlasting salvation; you will not be put to shame or humiliated, to ages everlasting.
Isa 45:18For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens—He is God; He formed the earth and fashioned it; He established it; He did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited: “I am the LORD, and there is no other.
Isa 45:19I have not spoken in secret, from a place in a land of darkness. I did not say to the descendants of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in a wasteland.’ I, the LORD, speak the truth; I say what is right.
Isa 45:20Come, gather together, and draw near, you fugitives from the nations. Ignorant are those who carry idols of wood and pray to a god that cannot save.
Isa 45:21Speak up and present your case—yes, let them take counsel together. Who foretold this long ago? Who announced it from ancient times? Was it not I, the LORD? There is no other God but Me, a righteous God and Savior; there is none but Me.
Isa 45:22Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.
Isa 45:23By Myself I have sworn; truth has gone out from My mouth, a word that will not be revoked: Every knee will bow before Me, every tongue will swear allegiance.
Isa 45:24Surely they will say of Me, ‘In the LORD alone are righteousness and strength.’” All who rage against Him will come to Him and be put to shame.
Isa 45:25In the LORD all descendants of Israel will be justified and will exult.

Who else the chapter reaches
Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.
Named in the Hebrew or Greek somewhere in this chapter, under a form the English renders differently — the registry's Ludim against the translation's Ludites — so there is no word in the sentence to hang the link on.
Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
