Exodus 31
Every verse links to the people and places named in it, and to the passages readers connect it with.
The chapter
What happens here
Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
The tablets are stone, written by God's finger; Bezalel is filled with God's Spirit for gold, gemstones, and wood.
A craftsman is called by namevv. 1–11
God names Bezalel son of Uri, of Judah, and fills him with the Spirit of God—not merely with pious feeling, but with skill, ability, and knowledge in every sort of making. Gold, silver, bronze, gemstones, wood: the whole glittering catalogue is placed in his hands. Oholiab of Dan is appointed as his assistant, while the craftsmen are given skill to make the Tent of Meeting, its furnishings, Aaron's garments, the garments of his sons, the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense for the Holy Place. It is a remarkably complete workshop, down to the utensils.
The seventh day interrupts the workshopvv. 12–17
Then the work is interrupted by a command to keep the Sabbaths. Six days may contain work; the seventh is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD, and the chapter gives the matter an unusually severe edge. The Sabbath is a sign between the LORD and Israel, a permanent covenant for generations. Its final image is of the LORD resting and being refreshed—a little domestic phrase at the summit of creation.
The tablets arrivev. 18
When the speaking on Mount Sinai is finished, Moses receives the two tablets of the Testimony. They are tablets of stone, and their inscription is attributed to the finger of God: the chapter ends not with a flourish of craftsmanship, but with writing already done.

Exod 31:2“See, I have called by name Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
Exod 31:3And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability, and knowledge in all kinds of craftsmanship,
Exod 31:4to design artistic works in gold, silver, and bronze,
Exod 31:5to cut gemstones for settings, and to carve wood, so that he may be a master of every craft.
Exod 31:6Moreover, I have selected Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, as his assistant. I have also given skill to all the craftsmen, that they may fashion all that I have commanded you:
Exod 31:7the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the Testimony and the mercy seat upon it, and all the other furnishings of the tent—
Exod 31:8the table with its utensils, the pure gold lampstand with all its utensils, the altar of incense,
Exod 31:9the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin with its stand—
Exod 31:10as well as the woven garments, both the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons to serve as priests,
Exod 31:11in addition to the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them according to all that I have commanded you.”
Exod 31:12And the LORD said to Moses,
Exod 31:13“Tell the Israelites, ‘Surely you must keep My Sabbaths, for this will be a sign between Me and you for the generations to come, so that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.
Exod 31:14Keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Anyone who profanes it must surely be put to death. Whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from among his people.
Exod 31:15For six days work may be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must surely be put to death.
Exod 31:16The Israelites must keep the Sabbath, celebrating it as a permanent covenant for the generations to come.
Exod 31:17It is a sign between Me and the Israelites forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”
Exod 31:18When the LORD had finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.

Who else the chapter reaches
Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.
Named in the Hebrew or Greek somewhere in this chapter, under a form the English renders differently — the registry's Ludim against the translation's Ludites — so there is no word in the sentence to hang the link on.
Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
