The chapter
What happens here
Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
The commandment is given an itinerary worthy of a cosmic courier: heaven first, then across the sea—only to be found already in the mouth and heart.
Gathered from the farthest horizonvv. 1–10
The chapter begins after blessing and curse have done their work among the nations. If the people and their children return to the LORD with all their heart and soul, He gathers them from every scattered place, even the farthest horizon, brings them into the land their fathers possessed, and prospers them there. The most striking surgery follows: the LORD circumcises the hearts of the people and their descendants, so that love and life may follow. The enemies receive the curses instead, while the people return to obedience and the LORD delights in their prosperity.
Nothing to fetch from heavenvv. 11–20
The commandment is declared neither difficult nor remote. No expedition must climb into heaven to retrieve it; no ship must cross the sea. The word is already very near, in the mouth and heart. Then the passage sets life beside death, prosperity beside disaster, blessing beside cursing, and gives the plainest instruction in the chapter: choose life. The final words name Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as the fathers to whom the land was sworn.

Deut 30:1“When all these things come upon you—the blessings and curses I have set before you—and you call them to mind in all the nations to which the LORD your God has banished you,
Deut 30:2and when you and your children return to the LORD your God and obey His voice with all your heart and all your soul according to everything I am giving you today,
Deut 30:3then He will restore you from captivity and have compassion on you and gather you from all the nations to which the LORD your God has scattered you.
Deut 30:4Even if you have been banished to the farthest horizon, He will gather you and return you from there.
Deut 30:5And the LORD your God will bring you into the land your fathers possessed, and you will take possession of it. He will cause you to prosper and multiply more than your fathers.
Deut 30:6The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, and you will love Him with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live.
Deut 30:7Then the LORD your God will put all these curses upon your enemies who hate you and persecute you.
Deut 30:8And you will again obey the voice of the LORD and follow all His commandments I am giving you today.
Deut 30:9So the LORD your God will make you abound in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the offspring of your livestock, and the produce of your land. Indeed, the LORD will again delight in your prosperity, as He delighted in that of your fathers,
Deut 30:10if you obey the LORD your God by keeping His commandments and statutes that are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deut 30:11For this commandment I give you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach.
Deut 30:12It is not in heaven, that you should need to ask, ‘Who will ascend into heaven to get it for us and proclaim it, that we may obey it?’
Deut 30:13And it is not beyond the sea, that you should need to ask, ‘Who will cross the sea to get it for us and proclaim it, that we may obey it?’
Deut 30:14But the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you may obey it.
Deut 30:15See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, as well as death and disaster.
Deut 30:16For I am commanding you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live and increase, and the LORD your God may bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.
Deut 30:17But if your heart turns away and you do not listen, but are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them,
Deut 30:18I declare to you today that you will surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.
Deut 30:19I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, so that you and your descendants may live,
Deut 30:20and that you may love the LORD your God, obey Him, and hold fast to Him. For He is your life, and He will prolong your life in the land that the LORD swore to give to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

Who else the chapter reaches
Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.
Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
