What happens here
Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
A woman loses one coin, finds it, and immediately summons the neighbourhood for a celebration large enough to make the lost silver feel positively famous.
The lost are searched for—and celebratedvv. 1–10
Tax collectors and sinners gather around Jesus, while Pharisees and scribes grumble that he welcomes them and eats with them. Jesus answers with a lost sheep carried home on its finder’s shoulders, and a lost coin that brings friends and neighbours running—not merely for relief, but for rejoicing. Heaven and God’s angels, too, are given joy over one sinner who repents; the ninety-nine and the other nine coins are left with rather less ceremony.
The son returns to a feastvv. 11–24
A younger son asks for his share, takes it to a distant country, and spends the lot in wild living. Famine follows, then pigs, hunger, and even the humiliating ambition to eat their pods. He rehearses a return as a hired servant, but his father sees him while he is still far off, runs to him, dresses him splendidly, and orders the fattened calf killed. The household begins to celebrate because the lost son is found.
The brother outsidevv. 25–32
The older son arrives from the field to find music and dancing, and learns that the fattened calf has been killed for his returned brother. He refuses to enter, listing his own long service and the conspicuous absence of even a young goat for a party with his friends. His father comes out and pleads, answering that everything he has belongs to the older son—but celebration is fitting for a brother who was lost and has returned.

Luke 15:1Now all the tax collectors and sinners were gathering around to listen to Jesus.
Luke 15:2So the Pharisees and scribes began to grumble: “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
Luke 15:3Then Jesus told them this parable:
Luke 15:4“What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the pasture and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it?
Luke 15:5And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders,
Luke 15:6comes home, and calls together his friends and neighbors to tell them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost sheep!’
Luke 15:7I tell you that in the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous ones who do not need to repent.
Luke 15:8Or what woman who has ten silver coins and loses one of them does not light a lamp, sweep her house, and search carefully until she finds it?
Luke 15:9And when she finds it, she calls together her friends and neighbors to say, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost coin.’
Luke 15:10In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”
Luke 15:11Then Jesus said, “There was a man who had two sons.
Luke 15:12The younger son said to him, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.
Luke 15:13After a few days, the younger son got everything together and journeyed to a distant country, where he squandered his wealth in wild living.
Luke 15:14After he had spent all he had, a severe famine swept through that country, and he began to be in need.
Luke 15:15So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed the pigs.
Luke 15:16He longed to fill his belly with the pods the pigs were eating, but no one would give him a thing.
Luke 15:17Finally he came to his senses and said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have plenty of food, but here I am, starving to death!
Luke 15:18I will get up and go back to my father and say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.
Luke 15:19I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.”’
Luke 15:20So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still in the distance, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.
Luke 15:21The son declared, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
Luke 15:22But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.
Luke 15:23Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let us feast and celebrate.
Luke 15:24For this son of mine was dead and is alive again! He was lost and is found!’ So they began to celebrate.
Luke 15:25Meanwhile the older son was in the field, and as he approached the house, he heard music and dancing.
Luke 15:26So he called one of the servants and asked what was going on.
Luke 15:27‘Your brother has returned,’ he said, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has him back safe and sound.’
Luke 15:28The older son became angry and refused to go in. So his father came out and pleaded with him.
Luke 15:29But he answered his father, ‘Look, all these years I have served you and never disobeyed a commandment of yours. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.
Luke 15:30But when this son of yours returns from squandering your wealth with prostitutes, you kill the fattened calf for him!’
Luke 15:31‘Son, you are always with me,’ the father said, ‘and all that is mine is yours.
Luke 15:32But it was fitting to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”

Who else the chapter reaches
Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.
Named in the Hebrew or Greek somewhere in this chapter, under a form the English renders differently — the registry's Ludim against the translation's Ludites — so there is no word in the sentence to hang the link on.
