The chapter

What happens here

Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.

The peace offering is divided with remarkable precision: the blood goes round the altar, the choicest fat goes into the fire as food for the LORD, and none of that fat or blood is to reach the table of the people.

The offering at the altarvv. 1–16

Whether the animal comes from the herd or flock, it must be without blemish, and its owner lays a hand on its head before slaughtering it at the Tent of Meeting. Aaron’s sons splatter the blood on every side of the altar, while the fat, kidneys, and liver are lifted out for the fire. With a lamb, the fat tail joins the list—a splendidly specific detail—and with a goat the same inner portions become a pleasing aroma.

The final divisionv. 17

After all the careful distinctions between herd, lamb, and goat, the chapter ends with a single rule for every generation and every dwelling place: the fat belongs to the LORD, and blood belongs nowhere on the menu of the people.

Who else the chapter reaches

Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.

Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
